EMELLIA SHARIFF

Anti-Harassment, Bullying & Discrimination Expert

Emellia has a unique combination of skills in legal practice, compliance and corporate governance through her experience as a corporate litigation lawyer as well as working in a multi-national conglomerate. She is a prominent gender rights advocate. Emellia is part of the team which drafted the Sexual Harassment Bill in Malaysia and has been invited as a speaker at various talks, including the recent Employment Conference 2019. She is the Founder and Editor-In-Chief of The G-Blog, Malaysia's one and only gender publication platform, and is CEO of the Malaysian Institute for Debate & Public Speaking (MIDP) which works on human capital advancement.

ANIMAH KOSAI

Speak Up, Governance and Compliance Expert

Animah is Founding Director of Speak Up At Work Limited and Co-Founder of Speak Up Academy, a global online community of thought leaders and organisational change makers. Her legal career spans 24 years in Malaysian practice followed the oil and gas industry, where she has played a key role in corporate governance, business ethics, compliance and creating safe speaking up cultures. She is co-writing a book on workplace sexual harassment and has spoken and written prolifically on corporate corruption, safety and harassment, appearing on BFM, Astro-Awani and in US based Anti-Corruption Digest, CSA’s Governance & Compliance magazine, CNN and Malaysian news sites.

SHAKIRAH RAHMAN

Sexual Harassment, Diversity & Inclusion Expert

Shakirah is a regional Head of Growth in the edu-tech space where she develops organisational policies and strategies. Passionate about gender rights, she has been a member of Young Women Making Change (YWMC) Malaysia since 2014, pushing for legal reform and public education on sexual harassment. She facilitated workshops with Projek Layang-Layang educating adults on child sexual abuse. She has also served on the British High Commission's Successor Generation Initiative Advisory Board as well as the National Youth Consultative Council.

GRANT GRIFFITHS

Risk Management, Governance & Compliance Expert

Grant is an internationally recognised non-executive director and risk, governance and compliance professional. He has held senior leadership roles in FTSE, NYSE and NASDAQ listed companies working for global businesses in various sectors. Grant is an advisor to boards on risk, governance and sustainability, and has led major transformation programmes. He is a non-executive director of Flexmind, and a Member of the Advisory Board of Speak Up at Work (UK). He is a member of the Institute of Risk Management serving as Chair of the Turkey Regional Group and Deputy Chair of the Energy Special Interest Group, a member of the Institute of Directors and the Institute of Strategic Risk Management.

KERNAN MANION

Clinical Psychiatry & Organisational Consulting Expert

Dr. Manion is a US-educated board-certified physician whose career bridges the worlds of clinical psychiatry and organisational consulting. He is the Founder and Director of The Center for Physician Rights, a nonprofit based in Cambridge MA supporting physicians navigate the infringements of their rights according to the training and ethics of their profession. Recognising the critical role of emotional intelligence, Dr. Manion is nearing completion of his groundbreaking book and online course “MindSense U – Helping You Achieve Lifelong Psychological Wellbeing.” He is also the Co-Founder of Speak Up Academy.

NEIL TYSON

Counter Fraud, Risk Management & Compliance Expert

Neil is an accredited counter fraud specialist and member of the Institute of Strategic Risk Management with over 20 years’ experience in helping organisations take a proactive risk-based approach to managing their legal and regulatory compliance. He has acted as a policy advisor to UK government including the Ministry of Justice in the development of Recovery of Defence Costs Orders in complex or high cost criminal cases. Neil has also worked with FTSE 100 companies to reduce their cost of compliance and non-compliance, and gain a competitive advantage in the market. Neil is now an independent advisor in his own consultancy Rightway Compliance.

RICHARD BISTRONG

Front-Line Anti-Bribery & Corruption Expert

Richard spent much of his career as an international sales executive and currently consults and speaks on foreign bribery, ethics and compliance issues from that front-line perspective on a global basis to compliance, commercial and leadership teams. In 2018, Richard was named by Thomson Reuters as one of the top 50 social influencers in risk and compliance. In 2017, he was named by Compliance Week as a Top Mind in the field of Governance, Risk and Compliance, and one of Ethisphere's 100 Most Influential in Business Ethics in 2016.
